Marine Academy Plymouth
Science, technology, art and sport are all integral Plymouth, just as they will be to Marine Academy Plymouth. All Academies have Specialist School Status and have a specialism in at least one area; Marine Academy Plymouth has specialisms in Technology and Science with a focus on Marine that encompasses the Environment. The Raiders will be working closely with Marine Academy this year, and hopefully in future years, to provide mentoring support to children and reinforcing the value of positive goals and aspirations for the future. Marine
Academy Plymouth is the UK’s first Marine Academy; it’s a
state-funded specialist secondary school with three sponsors who are
the University of Plymouth, Cornwall College and Plymouth City
Council. Plymouth evolved as a city because of the sea, and its
future prosperity depends on it.
