Are you a Plymouth Raiders fan? Would you like to help improve the profile of the club, raise much needed finance and have fun at the same time?

Kularoos Plymouth Raiders are holding a meeting on Thursday 2nd August, at the Ski Lodge in Plymouth to promote the Raiders Supporter's Club and elect a new committee. Chairwoman Annette Lobo Pires is leaving in the summer to move to America, and there are several other important roles that need to be filled.

"The Supporter's Club has been fantastic for the Raiders in the past, but Annette leaving mean's we need an injection of new blood and some new ideas to the group," said Raiders Chief Executive Dave Briggs. "We've spoken to a number of people recently who have indicated that they would be willing to
take over from Annette and really get behind the team, but we really need as many people coming to the meeting to offer ideas as possible. We've got the best fans in British basketball and the Supporter's Club is a great way for them to help the club raise extra funds and really enjoy themselves at the same time!"

The Supporter's Club has been responsible for raising thousands of pounds for the club in recent years through raffles, pub quizzes and other fundraising events. The club are hoping to expand the number and range of benefits available to help attract as many new members as possible. "We'd love to have the biggest and best Supporter's Club in the country," said Raiders' Director Ian Buse. "We just need to get some new bodies on board with some new ideas. We're already aware of a couple of exciting events that members want to run. There's some real enthusiasm out there for the Supporter's Club to take off in a big way, and we are committed to helping wherever and however we can."
