Basketball Tickets Competition
13th August 2007

Kularoos Plymouth Raiders have 4 tickets to the Great Britain vs. Slovakia basketball game next week in Birmingham (Tuesday 21st August, 7.30pm) to give away in a competition.  There will be two prizes of 2 tickets to the GB game and a third prize of two tickets to the Kularoos Plymouth Raiders vs. USA Select game on Friday 14th September.

Great Britain is currently mid table of European Group B, and will tip off their bid to reach the European elite Eurobasket A group with the game against Slovakia next week.  GB will have Chicago Bulls star (and brother of former Plymouth Raiders player), Luol Deng playing alongside the best team ever assembled under the GB name.  The team has recently returned from a training camp in Florida and is currently away playing friendly games against Georgia, Finland, Croatia, New Zealand and Ireland before the serious competitive games start against Slovakia, Netherlands, Albania and Belarus.

To enter the competition for the tickets, people must send an email to competition@plymouthraiders.com with their name, address, and contact phone number.  The winners will then be picked at random to win the tickets and notified immediately.  Closing date for the competition is 1pm on Friday 17th August.
Entries after the closing date will not be put into the draw.

"The GB game will be fantastic and we’re really pleased to be able to offer the opportunity to win these tickets to the Plymouth public," said Raiders Chief Executive Dave Briggs. "All you have to do is send your name and contact details to us and we’ll do the draw on Friday afternoon. We’ll then let the winners know immediately and get the tickets to them."

The Raiders would also like to encourage people to still come forward if they want to buy a season ticket to the Raiders home games this season.  The price of £165 for adults, £121 for children and £550 for a family means that as an adult, you would save £135 over the course of a season if you bought a season ticket and a family would save £200.  It’s a fantastic deal, and all season ticket holders get a free t-shirt, entered into a competition for winning a signed Raiders kit at the end of the season, free entry to all development team home games, and first purchase option on tickets for BBL finals.
