Plymouth Raiders have announced a range of promotion nights
giving their fans an opportunity to enjoy free gifts from
local companies. Student specials, meals, games of bowling and
membership trials at a local health club are all included, as
is a free prize draw for some exciting prizes.
“So
far, we’ve had a great response from the people of Plymouth
and the number of fans at home games has been a lot higher
than this time last year,” said Raiders Chief Executive Dave
Briggs. “We wanted to find a way of thanking the fans for
their loyalty, and at the same time, hopefully encourage even
more people to come along and get a taste of basketball and
become long term fans.”
The Raiders have been close to packing out the Pavilions in
their last couple of home games and will be looking for
similar numbers at the forthcoming home games against Everton
Tigers and the Newcastle Eagles.
The
range of promotions include half price student nights, free
meals at Nandos restaurant, free games of bowling at Tenpin,
free adult trials at the Esporta Devonshire and a Christmas
Special prize draw to be held at the home game on the 29th
December against the Cheshire Jets.
“I’m really thankful to the companies who have given us prizes
to give away – they’ve been big supporters of the Plymouth
Raiders over the past few years and hopefully this will
inspire more companies to get involved next year too,” added
Briggs. “Raiders II, the Raiders’ second team are playing
before the main Raiders game on a lot of the dates, so
hopefully we can encourage more people to come along and watch
their games too.”
