Raiders release Commane
19th November 2007

The Kularoos Plymouth Raiders have announced that they have released first year professional Michael Commane. The 6’11” centre arrived from Boston in late September, but saw limited court time.

“We’re really sorry to see Mike go,” Said Raiders head coach Gary Stronach. “He was a good guy, but because of the strength of the team this year, the opportunities for him to get quality playing time just weren’t there. We came to a mutual decision last week that it would be better for Mike’s development as a pro player to find somewhere that he could play and make some significant contributions.”

The Raiders front line was strengthened over the summer with the signing of James Noel, and it’s his rapid development, together with the play of Gaylon Moore, Terrence Durham and DeAntoine Beasley that saw limited court time for Commane.
