Everton Tigers kept up their play-off aspirations thanks to an
84-74 victory over the Kularoos Plymouth Raiders at the Greenbank
Academy on Friday night.
In a close game throughout, the Tigers led 60-59 going into the
final stanza.
10 points from David Aliu at the start of the final quarter
instigated a 16-2 Tigers burst to take the score out to 76-51.
The Raiders tried desperately to claw their way back into the game,
and got to within four points at 78-74 off the back of a 6-0 tear
with 1:20 remaining.
Despite this, the Tigers were able to hold off their visitors, and
secure the victory from the foul-line.
Aliu led all scorers in the game with 24 points, while Gaylon Moore
led the Raiders scoring with 23.
