The Kularoos Plymouth Raiders secured the season series with the Sheffield Sharks after an 85-73 win at the Plymouth Pavilions which saw them take outright ownership of the third spot in the BBL Championship table.

Leading scorer Drew Lasker had 27 points, whilst DeAntoine Beasley added 17 and Gaylon Moore 11. Shelby Chaney led the Sharks with 14.

The teams could not be separated in the early exchanges as an 8-8 tie became 22-22, with six lead changes in between, at the end of the first quarter.

The visiting Sharks looked to have taken control in the second period as they posted an early 9-0 burst to lead 25-33; however, the Raiders then rattled off the next 7 points, and made that a 13-4 run as a Beasley basket gave them the lead just before the half-time buzzer at 41-39.

They would not relinquish that lead for the remainder of the game and pushed it out to double-figures on the back of a 10-2 surge in the third quarter, as the score became 62-50, before a late rally from the Sharks narrowed it to 65-57.

The best defence in the BBL then held the Sharks to no score in the opening three minutes of the fourth quarter, and just 4 points in the opening five minutes, as the Raiders took the lead out to 79-65 and never looked back.
