Kularoos Plymouth Raiders moved to within two points of the Newcastle Eagles at the top of the BBL Championship table thanks to a 84-93 come-from- behind victory over the BiG Storage Cheshire Jets at the Northgate Arena on Sunday evening. In a close game throughout, the Jets led early on thanks to eleven points in the opening period from Matt Otten to help them to a 26-21 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

The game remained tight, but the Jets were able to hold onto a four point lead at 49-45 going in at the half. In the second half, the Raiders continued to trim the deficit, but twelve points from Trey Moore for the Jets ensured that they held onto their slender lead at 72-68 going into the final stanza.

At the start of the fourth quarter, a three-pointer from Gavin Love sparked a 7-2 Raiders burst to break the game open and allow them to take the lead at 74-75. The Raiders continued to dominate their opponents in the remaining minutes outscoring the Jets 12-25 in the final stanza to secure the all-important victory.

A combination of Andrew Lasker, Gaylon Moore and Terrence Durham led the Raiders scoring with 19 points each, but it was Jason Obazuaye who capped off an impressive weekend by netting a game-high 26 points for the Jets.
