BBL Cup 2007/08
The first-round and
quarter-final draws for the BBL Cup competition have been made and
have thrown up some mouth-watering ties.
1st Round
Saturday 27th October
DMU Leicester Riders v Team Birmingham Panthers (7.30pm)

Scottish Phoenix Honda Rocks v Worcester Wolves (5.00pm)

The highlights in the first-round include two derby games. In the
Northwest the BiG Storage Cheshire Jets host the Everton Tigers at
the Northgate Arena on Sunday 4th November, whilst in the Midlands
the DMU Leicester Riders welcome the Team Birmingham Panthers to the
John Sandford Centre on Saturday 27th October.
Last season's runner-up, the Scottish Phoenix Honda Rocks, will play
the Worcester Wolves at the Braehead Arena on Sunday 4th November in
the opening round, as the Kularoos Plymouth Raiders face the PAWS
London Capital at the Plymouth Pavilions on the same day, and
Marshall MK Lions meet London United on Friday 2nd November.
The reigning champions, the Poujoulat Heat Guildford, await the
winner of the Midlands derby between the Riders and the Panthers in
the quarter-finals at The Spectrum on Sunday 25th November. Also
playing on that day will be the 2006 winners, the Newcastle Eagles,
against either the Jets or Tigers, and the winner of the Raiders and
Capital tie will meet the winner from the Lions and United game. The
Sheffield Sharks host either the Rocks or the Wolves in the
quarter-final on Friday 23rd November.
