Local
boy Jay Marriott will be returning to the Raiders
for the third consecutive season. Marriott has
experience of BBL basketball having
played a significant role for the Birmingham Bullets
in 2004.
He also
played in Ireland, Hungary, and Spain after having
attended
Monterey Peninsula Junior College in the USA. Two
years ago, he returned
to Plymouth to play for Raiders 2 in England
Basketball’s Division 2, and
2 years ago, was promoted to the BBL set up.
Marriott
is primarily known as a three point shooter, and
this is something
he has further strengthened over the course of the
last couple of years.
This
summer, Marriott was appointed as one of the
Raiders’ Schools and
Community Development Officers.
