Dylan re-signed for the Raiders at the start of last season after having a few previous spells with the club and proved to be integral part of the team last season averaging 12 minutes a game before picking up an injury against Manchester late into the season.
Dylan said, “I am very grateful to both Richard and Ross for keeping me on board in this difficult time.
“I am devastated that I won’t be cleared to play for then start of the season but I will be working everyday to get back to the team as soon as possible.
“I look forward to being back in Plymouth and seeing the best fans in the BBL at the Pavilions”
Dylan had surgery over the summer on his foot to have pins put in place in order for him to return to full fitness. He will join the team ahead of the BBL season to start his rehabilitation and will work closely with Nuffield Health to return to full fitness later in the season.
Raiders director Richard Mollard added, “Dylan is one of our own and his injury was on Duty for the Raiders so the least we can do is support him back to full fitness.
“We’ll be supplying Dylan with as much medical and physio support we can, thanks to the help of our partners, Plymouth Marjon and Nuffield Health, and hopefully he’ll be able to play an active role in the squad as Christmas approaches.
With Dylan joining the squad its brings this year’s roster to 11, Paul James added “I’m delighted to welcome Dylan back to the raiders.
“Although not ready to fully participate on the court, as a club we want to show our commitment and belief in young up and coming players just like Dylan.
“He will be working hard with our medical team to rehab his ankle fully and regain full fitness before make I believe will be a positive contribution with the team”
Raiders BBL campaign starts on Friday night with an away trip to Head Coach Paul James’ former club Worcester before returning to the Pavilions on Sunday for a home clash against London Lions with a tip off time of 3pm.
