Preview - Raiders v Rocks

Plymouth Raiders going into Sunday’s game against the Glasgow Rocks in very much need of a win to ease the pressure on the players and Raiders coach Gavin Love.

The Raiders are without a win since the middle of last month and will want to make a statement in front of home support this weekend.

Love, who is now around five months into his role as coach, believes his team are still up to the challenge of making his first season back in the hot seat a successful one and will get the wins to prove it.

“I always believe we can win all the games we play,” he said.

“At times this season we have played good basketball but just haven’t been mentally tough enough down the stretch to get the wins we need.

“I do feel we now have a competitive team…wins and good basketball is around the corner.”

Plymouth have bought in Will Neighbour to partner Tre Bowman and Stefan Djukic in a trio of January signings, and they seem to have all had a positive impact already.

“With 3 new players on our team the competition in practice has been great,” he said.

“Team morale is high and we are working hard to get these guys up to speed.”

You can still purchase tickets for Plymouth Raiders against the Glasgow Rocks online or on the door at Pavilions for a 4pm tip-off.
