The Plymouth Raiders have undergone considerable change in the past six months, and a large part of this was to create a fresh club branding and website.
We are delighted to report that this was achieved with the help of the club’s new official Marketing Partner, Purple Motion, who has been the driving force in transitioning the club’s overall brand into the one you see today.
Plymouth Raiders Director, Richard Mollard said, “It was a vital for us to update the club brand to not only mark the start of a new era, but also to portray a faster, more aggressive feel that reflects the true nature of today’s game.
“The team at Gammaray Creative worked wonders to create a logo for us that is fierce, exciting, and adds a modern twist to our beloved fox emblem. It also celebrates the club’s heritage with the use of the original Raiders’ typeface and incorporates the number 83 – the year the club was founded.”
The next challenge was to translate this new identity into a fresh website, and to develop a new suite of marketing materials and brand guidelines. As well as print materials, the club needed a fully responsive website that would work all over the world on any and every device, and Purple Motion’s full-service digital expertise made them the perfect partners.
Purple Motion’s designers and programmers got their heads together to create a slick, fresh website that functions smoothly and guarantees an easy experience for all visitors This has done a great job of showcasing the new identity in all its glory. Meanwhile, Purple Motion’s brand identity experts also produced a new set of brand guidelines to ensure our new identity is reflected across all marketing mediums.
Richard Mollard continued, “We’ve worked very closely with Purple Motion over the last six months, and we’ve thrown them a fair few curve balls during this time that I’m grateful to say they dealt with brilliantly.
“Their advice and hard work this season has been invaluable. They have created not only a fantastic, dynamic new website, but also a comprehensive set of brand guidelines that they have followed when designing many printed materials this season, from marketing brochures and leaflets, down to the match day programme.
“I very much look forward to working with PM for many years to come as we strive to turn around the club’s fortunes, on and off the court.”
Purple Motion’s Managing Director Lee Nathan said, “We’re really pleased to have been selected as the Plymouth Raiders Marketing Partner. Having run an annual motorsport event ourselves we were able to use our knowledge to take the Raiders to the next level. I am really pleased with what my creative team has achieved and the feedback from the fans has been warming. This is only the start of our relationship; we have many more creative ideas that we will be supporting the Raiders with.”
The Raiders look forward to continuing our excellent relationship with Purple Motion, with the two teams working hand-in-hand to take the club’s marketing and brand to a new level of success.
