The team spent time on Wildgoose and Woodcock Wards, signing Raiders memorabilia and handing out soft toys of their mascot, ‘Foxy’.
“The children really enjoyed the visit from the Plymouth Raiders”, said Play Service Team Leader, Sue Rodgers.
“It brought lots of smiles in what can be a difficult time. They even managed to encourage a couple of patients to leave their beds to see them.
“We want to thank Plymouth Raiders for thinking of us and for the thoughtful gifts they brought.”
Plymouth Raiders Centre, Zak Wells, said: “Visiting the Children’s Ward at Derriford Hospital was an absolutely pleasure for all of us.
“It was great opportunity to meet all the kids and hand out some presents just before Christmas.
“We hope the children enjoyed us visiting them and we hope they all have a fantastic Christmas, from everyone at the Plymouth Raiders.”
