Plymouth Raiders will look to get their season back on track this weekend, as they face the Surrey Scorchers on the road this Sunday at 2pm.
The Raiders are on a five game winless run, and with the season around the halfway stage, they will know how vital it will be to pick up wins if they are to make the play-offs this season.
Coach Gavin Love’s task was always going to be difficult, especially when you consider that the team was rebuilt and rebranded over the summer, and the head coach is remaining focused on this weekend’s game.
“I’m not looking any further than Sundays game at Surrey,” he said.
“We need to cut out mistakes – turnovers cost us in both games last weekend.
“If you do not value possession, then you cannot win games.”
The Raiders are without the talismanic Kinu Rochford once again this weekend as he misses out through injury, but Love is hoping new signings Stefan Djukic and Tre Bowman can improve his side for upcoming games.
“The new guys will certainly help us address some of the issues we have had to this point,” he said.
“We are still missing Rochford which of course is disappointing.
“When he returns and we are at full strength I fully expect us to put together a solid run.”
The Raiders head to Surrey on Sunday before returning to Pavilions on January 21st to take on Glasgow Rocks, tip off 4pm.
