Another full circle moment as Dan Taylor joins Plymouth Raiders for the 23/24 season. Dan's first taste of basketball came as a teenager when he attended a Raiders camp. Since then Dan has had a great career, captaining South West England in numerous European tours and proven success in the NBL having played in NBL division 1 with Coventry and gaining promotion from Division 3 with Raiders 2.

Head coach Gareth Laws had a lot of praise for the 6ft 3in forward saying, “Dan Taylor joins the Raiders as a seasoned vet, having completed at national league level before.”

“He is a versatile player on both offense and defence with outstanding knowledge of the game. His ability to work at a higher level within a team structure makes him an essential part of our team.”

“He brings a steady mind, great competitiveness and an ability to make the right play at the right time.”

“He’s a great signing for the Raiders and will help us achieve success across the season.”

New singing Taylor added “Raiders as an organisation has been a constant in the Plymouth community and a stalwart of British Basketball. I have played at a number of places around the country and everywhere you go, 'Plymouth Raiders' is a name that people know and respect.”

“I'm very excited for the opportunity to contribute towards putting Raiders back on the map and making a new set of memories for myself, my family, the team, and anybody else who decides to come and witness the journey back to where Plymouth Raiders should be.”

“I like to play high tempo team basketball at both ends of the floor. I bring over twenty years of playing experience in various roles at various levels, enjoying a range of success along the way.”

“The goal this season is simple, win Division 3 and get promoted to Division 2.”
