Raiders will be looking to forget this weekend quickly as they took their second loss on the bounce against Cardiff Met Archers. The team from the Welsh capital made the trip down the M5 to Plymouth with revenge on their mind.
The first quarter started with dominance from the visiting team and saw them go on a quick run and got up 4-16. Raiders clawed back some of the lead and managed to close out the first quarter down by two 22-24.
The second quarter stayed a little more neutral with both teams exchanging blows but ultimately Cardiff Met remaining on top 42-48.
After 30 minutes the two teams were only split by one point and it looked like we had a game on our hands. The Archers still had the lead 63-64.
Cardiff Met came out swinging and were up 65-74 with 6:40 left on the clock. The game didn’t change much from there on out and the Archers inflicted another defeat upon the Raiders with the game finishing 85-92.
Next up for Raiders is an away trip to Bath, nothing but a win will do if they want to remain in the race for the title.
