Raiders 10th Signing

6ft 4in Forward James Horrell is the 10th signing for the new look Raiders this season. An Exeter College and Solent Uni graduate, Horrell has made his way up through the Basketball structure and will now compete for Raiders in the NBL division 3.

On his 10th signing, Coach Laws said “We are pleased to have Horrell in a Raiders jersey this year he will be a perfect complement to our big guys on the floor. With his ability to attack the basket with and with out the ball, shoot the 3 at a highly consistent level and have a good IQ while making a play to create when needed.”

“He’s a great all rounder and can jump into multiple positions offensively and defend a variety of players from big to small.”

“After coming off a successful season last year I’m looking forward to seeing him take a big step forward again.”

“James is a great team guy is fun to be around. He shows a real drive to develop and better and do what needs to be done to win.”

“I have no doubt he will thrive this year and become be a fan favourite.”

The forward added “Raiders was a team that if you said to me at 16 I would be apart of them I wouldn't believe you.”

“It’s got amazing history and I see it as one of the biggest clubs in the country and I want to add our own side to that history!”

“I'll bring energy, excitement, and motivation to every training session and game. I’m a big believer in winning everything every time you step out on the floor, and making my teammates also feel that.”
