Ben Williams is the latest addition to Coach Laws roster for the 2023/24 season. With NBL Division 2 experience it’s clear to see why Williams is a Raider for this season. The forward is also a member of the Fimba GB 35+ set up so is set to bring a wealth of experience to the team this season.
Head coach Gareth Laws had this to say about Williams joining his roster “Ben comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience having competed at a variety of levels over his career from national to international play. “
“He comes with a strong work ethic, consistent skill set and a high basketball IQ that makes him a constant threat on the floor to not only make shots but to create for others.”
“He’s a great team guy and provides a steady leadership mentality to our squad.”
“Ben will prove to be an extremely vital part to our success at the Raiders both on and off the floor.”
On signing for his childhood club Ben Williams added “Plymouth Raiders was my childhood club, I fell in love with the game watching them and to play for the now is a dream achieved.”
“I’ll bring a steady low post presence and intensity on defence to the squad”.
“This season I want us to play as a team and ultimately win and bring the Raiders name back to where it belongs.”
